Celebrities show support for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Kylie Minogue, Sienna Miller and Claudia Schiffer have today been unveiled in a series of new images, shot by world renowned photographer Mario Testino, to launch Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2010 - the groundbreaking fundraising campaign from UK charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer which aims to raise over £1million.
Each of the images depicts the famous ambassadors appearing naked, wrapped in a striking silk sheet emblazoned with the iconic 'target' logo. The pictures are being used in a high profile national advertising campaign across print and digital media, throughout the duration of FTBC 2010 from March 29th to mid May.
If you didnt already know, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was established in 1994 by Ralph Lauren, after his friend Nina Hyde, Fashion Editor of the Washington Post, died of breast cancer. In 1996, FTBC was launched in the UK by Breakthrough Breast Cancer. FTBC now celebrates its 14th year; with its iconic t-shirt gracing most women’s wardrobes it has been heralded as the most fashionable charity campaign in the UK.
The campaign is fortunate enough to have received support from some of the world’s most famous fashion icons. Photographers Mario Testino, David Bailey and Ellen Von Unwerth together with stars including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gisele, Jerry Hall, Helena Christensen and Lily Cole have all very generously supported the campaign. To date the campaign has raised over £10.5m in the UK alone through the sale of the famous target t-shirts and other merchandise.
We think the work of all invovled is truely commendable and we look forward to seeing the new campaign take of this season.
